Lisa Foss, MA

Are you seeking help for yourself or your child? Whether you or your child is experiencing difficulty dealing with anxiety, depression, or trauma related to your separation or divorce, you want to address the whole self and family system, not just parts, in order to promote healthy well-being. You may be seeking to realign your values with how you live your life and change your thinking or behavior to match those values and goals. With a sincere and practical approach, we can work to alleviate your struggles and to identify patterns in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that have developed from your unique life.

I have a Master’s in Counseling from Liberty University, training in Collaborative Divorce and Child and Adolescent Anxiety Disorders. I use CBT, mindfulness, yoga, and play therapy techniques.

I provide individual therapy for children, adolescents and adults. I also provide family therapy and co-parenting therapy for divorce. If you are interested in exploring spiritual or faith-based counseling, let me know.

I accept BCBS for therapy clients.

I also coordinate our Evaluation Services

From Lisa:
"I view life as a process of learning and adaptation. Life brings unexpected challenges that require some flexibility to navigate, but sometimes adjustments are difficult to manage. Gaining support and learning new skills can help us find our balance again. I find that to maintain my balance I need to take time each day, even if it is a few moments, in spiritual introspection and reading. I also find that my emotional well-being is always improved with exercise, even if it is just going for a walk with my family."
