I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Averno College, Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology form the American School of Professional Psychology, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have worked with children with autism spectrum disorder and their families to produce the most effective learning environment for the child and support the family in finding ways they can best function. I have also worked with adolescents struggling with anxiety and depression. During my doctoral training, I transitioned to working with adults with serious mental illness and obtained training and experience conducting psychological testing for diagnostic, treatment, and legal purposes.
At KKJ, I conduct forensic evaluations for individuals involved in the legal system. I aim to provide a report that not only encompasses the issue areas but enlightens how individuals are impacted by their current situation. My goals for an evaluation are to clearly depict areas that are affecting an individual and identify the best way to move forward for those involved.
I also provide individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and their families going through separation and divorce. I am available for co-parenting services for families who are struggling to find common ground regarding your child’s care. For parents who are not together, co-parenting can be challenging and create additional conflict within the family. Sessions will support families in maintaining relationships that will allow a positive environment for your child’s growth. Learning to communicate with purpose will promote effective ways to engage with your children, and your co-parenting partner, so the family can function effectively as a whole.
To contact me directly, email me at drstephanie@kkjpsych.com. Our evaluation services are coordinated by Lisa Foss, who can be reached at lisa@kkjpsych.com. Our therapy services are coordinated by Kaytie Mero, who can be reached at kaytie@kkjpsych.com.
